Robert H. Luckett was only twenty-four years old when he died on November 11, 1943. After initially being considered Missing in Action (MIA) Luckett was inevitably declared Killed in Action on November 12, 1944 after his body was never discovered. His mother, Lizzie Luckett was notified of his passing November 16, 1944. Luckett is forever memorialized in the Courts of the Missing, Court 7, Honolulu Memorial.
He was survived by his parents, John, and Lizzie Luckett, as well as all his eleven siblings. Robert H. Luckett was recognized for his service on the S.S. Cape San Juan in the Pacific by receiving posthumously a Purple Heart. The medal was given to his mother, Lizzie Luckett in his honor. |
